Massage is like a conversation with your mind, body and soul. Pain is a voice searching to be heard, understood and quieted. Vesta has over thirty years experience in conversing with pain. Shiatsu, deep tissue massage, and Myofascial Release are the primary "languages", techniques that she uses to reduce or eliminate that pain. Shiatsu (Japanese for "finger pressure) is generally performed through lightweight clothing. Shiatsu tends to have a deeper, longer lasting effect to address imbalances on a physical and emotional level. This may be your choice if you suffer from chronic headaches, neck and joint pain, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue syndromes, digestive or anxiety disorders. Every session is unique so as to meet your needs.
Therapeutic massage covers a broad range of techniques that include deep tissue massage, stretching, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and reflexology. It is usually administered on the bare skin with only the body part being presently worked with exposed from the draping. This may be your choice for general muscle ache or stiffness, numbness/tingling in hands or feet, neck and TMJ (jaw) pain or perhaps a pre- or post- sporting event tune-up.

In 1983, after 15 years of customer service, Vesta answered an ad in a newspaper that offered an introductory class in Swedish massage Therapy. Her (sometimes overwhelming) empathetic nature immediately told her that this would be one of her major means of communication with the world! Once the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy became an accredited school, Vesta completed a full time, 950 hour program in 15 months. She acquired her Connecticut and New York State licenses and provides shiatsu, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and other modalities in the Bethel, Danbury, Redding area, full time since 1993.
Vesta continues to refine her skills with quality continuing education programs. Among these was extensive training in both the John Barnes Myofascial Release and Upledger Institute Craniosacral Therapy programs. Vesta has learned to skillfully apply a variety of tools to customize each session for her clients. For 34 years she has regularly received her own massages so as to serve you better for the years to come.
